Uniform

Children at Pawlett Primary School Academy are expected to wear the school uniform which is red, grey and white. We believe that by wearing uniform the children develop a sense of pride in and identify with their school. We encourage all children to look smart during their time at school. All uniform with a school logo on can be purchased from https://price-buckland.co.uk/.

Boys: Red sweatshirt with school logo, White polo shirt, Grey trousers (long or short)

Girls: Red sweatshirt/ cardigan with school logo, White polo shirt, Grey pinafore dress/ grey skirt/grey trousers (long or short), Summer dress in red & white check.

P.E: Red T-shirt with the school logo, Black shorts, Black daps/trainers (This should all be kept in a named P.E. bag). PE bags are kept in school and are returned at the end of every half term for washing.

All children will also need a school book bag which will go home at the end of every day.

Black shoes in a sensible style (no trainers or long boots) should be worn. They should have an appropriate style heel which allows children to walk and run in school safely.

Children should always have an appropriate coat and are encouraged to wear a sun hat during the summer months. Children are not allowed to wear jewellery to school in case it gets lost or damaged. If  your child’s hair is longer than shoulder length it should be tied up at all times. Children do not need to bring in any other items from home, all stationary will be provided. We also request that any treasured soft toys or favourite toys are left at home to prevent them getting damaged or lost.

All items of uniform, including shoes, should be labelled with your child’s name to prevent them getting lost or misplaced.

School Meals

All children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are able to receive free Universal School Meals. These meals are provided by Aspens catering at The King Alfred School Academy in Highbridge. The menu is provided on a 3 weekly basis and parents are asked to discuss and complete a menu with their child on the Aspens Select website.

Children will need to bring in their own labelled drinking bottles every day, filled with water only.

Your child will receive free milk under the government under 5’s scheme which they are given at morning break time when they will also have the opportunity to choose a fruit snack.

Communication

All communication is through an App called Weduc Reach More Parents. You will be given more information regarding the app upon your child joining us.

Occasionally we do need to print letters out to go home. These will be sent home in your child’s book bag.
