Those splendid people at Learning Through Landscapes have provided some fabulous ideas for our children to have a go at whilst they are at home.  It is designed for lower key stage 2 children (years 3&4) but I think there are some great ideas (and lots of other free resources on the site) than can be adapted to older and younger children.
