We believe in…
“To give our children roots and wings“
Hodder Carter
At Pawlett Primary School Academy we passionately believe that everyone should feel happy, valued, included; individuality is recognised and celebrated. We strive to provide pupils with a safe, nurturing and loving environment that provides them with a deep understanding that they can achieve extraordinary and incredible things!
We trust our children to make the right decisions that are right for them and to challenge themselves in their own learning, asking questions and deepening their understanding of the world around them.
Independence is promoted and children are encouraged to be actively involved in their learning.
We believe in everyone and ensure that all of our children are involved in our school. One way in which we facilitate this is through every child participating in Parliament sessions that allow for every child to have their voices heard in decisions about the school.
At Pawlett Primary we work together to ensure co-agency whereby we work collaboratively to solve problems and to develop our curriculum. We also promote the collaboration between parents and the wider community as we are very aware of the vital role that they play in school life.
Unpredictability is actively encouraged! We believe that children should be encouraged to surprise us with their ideas and what they can do. Our history does not define our destiny and we are therefore committed to the concept of being unpredictable!
