Community
Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much’ – Helen Keller
At Pawlett Primary School Academy we are lucky to be a part of the Pawlett village Community. We get to visit St John The Baptist Church for Religious Festivals, The Royal Legion for Remembrance Coffee Mornings and The Pavilion for PE lessons and Christmas dinners. Our PTFA also have a lovely relationship with the Community who like to support their events and raise money for the School.
We also have a close relationship with Pawlett Preschool. The Preschool is Committee run and therefore a charity so the Committee and PTFA work together to host events. We see a lot of Children that attend the Preschool move up to our school when they turn 4. The Preschool are always looking for new people to join their Committee, if you would like to find out what being on the Committee involves, please get in contact with the Preschool or ask in the School Office.
The village of Pawlett is rich in history and we love to explore this in our learning. From Roman origins dating back to the 2nd century AD, being mentioned in the 12th century Domesday Book and being the home to experimental research about anti-barrage balloon warfare during World War ll, there is so much history to explore in our environment.
