Vision & Values
“Every single minute matters, every single child matters, and every single childhood matters.”
We believe every single child in our care deserves the very best start in their journey in education. These formative years are so important to foster a love of learning, curiosity and respect of our world. We are helping to develop the next generation of adults and the vision and values we adhere to are the foundations on which we do this.
Our values are at the heart of Pawlett Primary School Academy. We focus on a value per term and have a two-year cycle that we follow (see below). We aim to hear, see and feel our school values throughout the school and they are taught throughout the school year and are recognised and celebrated regularly.
Cycle A (2020-21)
Cycle B (2021-2022)
Our Equality Objectives:
- To promote moral, social and cultural development through all appropriate curricular and extra-curricular opportunities. We aim to meet this objective with particular reference to issues of equality and diversity;to reduce prejudice and increase understanding of equality through direct teaching across the curriculum;to move beyond deterministic notions of fixed ability and to model teaching and learning behaviours that avoid labelling;to promote cultural development and understanding through a rich range of experience, both in and beyond the school;to eradicate prejudice related bullying in relation to the protected characteristics listed in the Equality Act 2010;to tackle prejudice and promote understanding in relation to people with disabilities.
